TrustHop ("we", "us", "our") is a platform designed for spontaneous meetups. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

  • Identity Data: First name, last name, username (nickname), and confirmation of age (18+).
  • Contact Data: Email address (managed via Supabase Auth) and any social links provided in your bio.
  • Location Data: Coarse or precise geolocation data necessary to provide location-based event feeds and calculate distances. This data is only collected while you are actively using the app.
  • Profile Data: Your network connections (friendships), created events, and event participation history.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, time zone setting, and operating system used to access the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Principally, we use your data to:

  • Register you as a new user and manage your account.
  • Provide the core functionality of the app, including displaying nearby events and connecting you with friends.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the platform.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform, conducting our business, or serving our users (e.g., hosting providers like Vercel, database providers like Supabase, and email services like Resend), so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We have implemented appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. All user authentication and database interactions are secured through industry-standard encryption practices.

  • Request access: Receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request erasure (Right to be forgotten): Ask us to delete or remove personal data. You can exercise this right at any time by using the "Delete Account" button in your Profile settings.
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data (e.g., location tracking).

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your login session. We may also use functional cookies (such as Local Storage) to remember your feed filters and UI preferences. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.
